United Methodist Women (UMW) The purpose of the UMW is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of global ministries of the church. The meetings are held at 10:30 on the first Thusday morning in March, June, September and December and include a program and fellowship. (Meetings during the school year are cancelled if there is no school.) Rummage sales are held every spring and fall to raise money for missions around the world.
