The following committees oversee the administrative areas of church life, providing support for all the ministries of the church.

Leadership Council

The Leadership Council is the governing board of the church. The members engage in spiritual discernment and strategic planning for the future of the church. They meet at 7:00 PM on the 3^rd Monday of each month in the Conference Room on the upper floor of the Ministry Center.

Adopt-a-Room

This committee encourages members to oversee a particular room in the church by monitoring the condition and promoting the use of that room.

Christian Education Committee

Working in cooperation with other ministry areas, this committee coordinates the total Christian Education ministry of the church to provide educational and transformational opportunities for all ages.

Church and Society

This committee keeps the Leadership Council aware of the need for study and action in the areas of social issues and education, service, witness, and action. The chairperson cooperates with other committees in surveying the needs of the local community and in making program recommendations for responding to local, community, state, national, and international needs to which the Church ministers by its service, education, witness, and action.

Communications Team

The Communication Team works with staff and other leaders to enhance communication to those in the church and to the community.

Finance Committee

This committee compiles the annual church budget from church committee requests, administers funds, and works with the Leadership Council to decide on the best use of resources to support our mission.

Library Committee

This committee staffs the Church Library - a ministry resource for all ages - with books, audio and video tapes, and Bible study aids.

Permanent Endowment Committee

This committee seeks to communicate to the congregation the mutual benefits—to the givers and the church—of planned giving to the church beyond the annual pledge campaign to ensure long-term continuance of Ingomar Church.

Nominations and Personnel

This committee prepares the slate for the elected positions voted on at the annual Charge Conference held in the fall. They base their selection on the spiritual gifts of church members.

Office Volunteers

These members assist with tasks in the church office, helping to free up the office staff for other work. Some of the tasks are weekly, some are on short notice, and others can be done whenever a volunteer has some extra time to give.

Sparkle Days

Sparkle Days, sponsored by the Trustees several times a year, encourage members to clean, paint, plant, weed, and generally maintain our church campus in the best possible condition.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee

This committee counsels with the pastor and staff on matters pertaining to their relationships with the congregation and priorities to be given in the use of their time. They recommend to the Leadership Council, after consultation with the pastor, the professional and other staff positions needed to carry out the ministry of the church.

Stewardship Committee

This group seeks to educate the congregation on what it means to practice Christian giving, involving tithing and use of our unique gifts, as a year-round personal response to the grace and generosity of God.

Trustees Committee

This committee, at the direction of the Leadership Council, oversees the purchase, sale, mortgage, encumbrance, construction, repairing, remodeling, and maintenance of all local church property.

Website

This team develops and updates the IUMC Website to provide current information to members of the congregation. The website is also an excellent way to publicize the ministries and activities of the church to members of the community.
